The revolutionary motion in America is gaining strength. Ever more working class people are becoming politically active, dissatisfied with life under capitalism. For the most part, this is rather instinctive, as they are not aware of the existence of classes. The life as a proletarian does not lead to the awareness of classes. The members of all other classes are aware of that existence and aware that each class has its own class interests. Those classes include the nobility, the peasants, the middle class or petty bourgeois, and of course the monopoly capitalists, the bourgeoisie.
I am sure that a great many working class people, those who have recently become politically active, are reading this, so I must stress that all learn the correct scientific terms for each class. The capitalists take great delight in using our ignorance of these terms against us.
The capitalists are also well aware of the revolutionary motion and are determined to divert this motion. They of course own the press and have ordered the journalists to focus on the 20-20 presidential debates and also attack Trump. Even though Trump is one of their own, they have no loyalty towards each other. There is no honour among thieves.
This tactic appears to be somewhat effective, as the people on the Left, those who refer to themselves as Socialists, Independent Socialists, Anarchists, Social Democrats, Marxists, Communists, Bolsheviks or various other names, are now rather silent. By this I mean that recently, there have been no marches or demonstrations. The politicians and members of the Trump administration are not being exposed and publicly humiliated. The same is true of the various presidential candidates, all of whom are in the service of the same class, the bourgeoisie.
This is class war, the capitalists against the workers, the bourgeoisie against the proletariat. It has been going on since the industrial revolution, which gave rise to the creation of new classes, the capitalists and the workers, the bourgeois and the proletarians. It will soon break out into open warfare, as the working class challenges the capitalists for political power. We had best be prepared.
With that in mind, we want to attack the enemy from all sides. I am calling upon all Americans to join the two mainstream political parties, Democratic and Republican. As card carrying members of the parties, you determine the candidate for any and all political office, and that includes the presidency. Assuming a few million Americans join the two parties, and those card carrying members of both parties decides that each party will endorse Sanders for president, then there will be no need for any and all presidential debates. Nor will there be any need to decide the proper candidate to challenge Trump, as the Republican Party will not be endorsing him to run for a second term. Problem solved.
I am also suggesting a careful reading of key works of Lenin, especially State and Revolution and Imperialism, the Highest Stage of Capitalism. This will help to educate the members of the working class.
Not only that, but I am also calling upon the various womens’ groups to once again come together, be active, as you were when you marched upon Washington. With that march, you proved, beyond any shadow of a doubt, that you are capable of organizing a proper insurrection. In fact, you are the only Americans who are capable of such organizing abilities. Your skills are desperately needed.
This is not to say that you should put aside your considerable differences, as that is not reasonable. It is to say that all have a common enemy, and that enemy is not Trump. It is the class he represents, and that class is the bourgeoisie. Until that class is overthrown and crushed under the iron boot of the proletariat, the Dictatorship Of the Proletariat, then nothing of substance will change.
With that in mind, I can suggest more marches and demonstrations, embarrassing and humiliating various servants of the bourgeoisie, including politicians and members of the Trump administration. The farce of the presidential debates should be disrupted, especially as that should give rise to some fine press coverage.
I can also suggest raising this to a new level, carrying posters and signs which contain class content. As well, perhaps a speech by the leader of the demonstration, to be posted on one of the social media outlets of the internet, drawing attention to the class conflict. With any luck, such a speech will go viral, assuming that is the correct expression. The internet has provided us with tools to use against the bourgeoisie, so feel free to use them.
Then there are the members of the working class who are men, very likely fellow sinners, male chaunanists one and all. You are conspicuous by your absence. It is your women who are leading the revolutionary motion, and they need your help. As you are well aware, it is the job of a man to protect the women. Very soon, those women are going to need all the protection they can get. Of course, I am referring to the time, in the not too distant future, when the class war becomes violent. That is referred to as the day of insurrection. On that day, we can expect the capitalists, or at least the officers within the military, to order their troops to open fire on the revolutionaries. The troops may or may not obey that order. A great deal depends upon the strength of the revolutionary motion, and upon the preparation of the people taking part in that insurrection. This is to say that if the insurgents are armed and prepared to return fire, then that can dampen the enthusiasm of the troops.
It is also true that the troops now have computers and other digital devices, so that they can be sent the message beforehand that we do not see them as the enemy. They are free to join us and be treated as an equal. Their past conduct will not be held against them.
As for those who are skeptical, feel free to point out the experience of the Russian Revolution of November 7, 1917. The Karensky government was forewarned of the insurrection and took refuge in the Winter Palace of the Czar. They were guarded by shock troops, the Savage Division. For the most part, those troops refused to open fire on the revolutionaries. Immediately after the success of the revolution, those men were allowed to sign a paper, swearing not to challenge the revolution, and then released. They were even allowed to keep their weapons.
In much the same way, after the success of the American insurrection, after the capitalists are overthrown, the troops guarding the capitalists and their henchmen, such as the Secret Service, will be required to sign a paper, agreeing not to fight the revolutionaries, and then released.
As well, the working class will be faced with another problem. That problem is one of replacing the government of the capitalists with a government of the workers. That is where State and Revolution comes in so handy. The state apparatus must be smashed and replaced with a proletarian apparatus, one which will be used to crush the desperate and determined resistance of the capitalists, the bourgeoisie.
The current state apparatus has been set up by the capitalists, the bourgeoisie, to crush the working class. A tiny minority has found a way to subjugate the vast majority. That state apparatus must be destroyed and replaced by a proletarian state apparatus, the Dictatorship Of the Proletariat.
No doubt there will be a great many people on the Left who will dispute this. They will be anxious to maintain the existing state apparatus and use it for their own purposes. This is to say, they will try to set themselves up as the new rulers!
That is where a proper Communist Party, Dictatorship Of the Proletariat, comes into play. Only such a party, a true leader of the working class, can explain to working people the absolute necessity of such a dictatorship, and make sure this happens. The one and only way in which this can happen is by smashing the state apparatus which has been set up by the bourgeoisie, for purposes of subjugating and exploiting the working class. Otherwise, the revolution will succeed in merely replacing one set of leaders of the capitalists with another.
I can only stress that there is a desperate need for a Communist Party in America. The fact is that people need leaders, just as every ship needs a captain, and those who say otherwise are simply demagogues. It is only those who follow the theories of Marx and Lenin, which is to say Communists, who are the true leaders of the working class. Without such leaders, the working class can be compared to a ship without a captain, at the mercy of the wind and waves, drifting aimlessly around the sea. But a ship with a captain is able to chart a course and head straight for port.
In the case of the working class, that port is the Dictatorship Of the Proletariat, or DOP. I use capital letters in order to stress the importance. It is not enough to overthrow the capitalists, the bourgeoisie. After the revolution, they must be crushed, ground into the dust, absolutely precluded from once again weaselling their way into power.
As for those who think that is rather harsh, bear in mind the fact that the capitalists were able to return to power in Russian and China, precisely because they were not crushed, or at least not with sufficient enthusiasm. The working class of those countries did not exercise sufficient dictatorship over that class of parasites.
A true Communist Party advocates the Dictatorship Of the Proletariat. Those who deny the necessity for that dictatorship or gloss over it, neglecting to mention this, are not Marxists but revisionists. Some of these parties openly claim that it is necessary to revise the theories of Marx and Lenin, while others are more shy about this. They do their best to avoid the subject, and hide behind the fact that workers are not discussing this. Of course that is true, as most workers are not aware of the necessity of first overthrowing the bourgeoisie and then crushing them under the Dictatorship Of the Proletariat. This awareness has to come to the working class from an outside source, the petty bourgeois intellectuals.
No doubt there are those who are of the opinion that differences in such matters are about as exciting as arguing over the colours of a rainbow. At what point does yellow become orange? At what point does blue become violet? Who really cares?
To such people I can only respond that such is not the case, as a difference of opinion concerning a matter of revolutionary theory may appear unimportant today, but may be of critical importance tomorrow. The stakes are nothing less than political power. Either the capitalists are in charge, crushing and exploiting the working class, or the working class is in charge, exercising dictatorship over the bourgeoisie. There is no middle ground.
Without doubt, a true American Communist Party, Dictatorship Of the Proletariat, or ACP, DOP for short, will win the support of the vast majority of working people. Equally without doubt, there will be a sizeable minority who will support other parties and groups. The Democratic Socialists of America comes to mind. As they have done some fine revolutionary work in the past, and have an impressive membership of possibly fifty thousand people, they are well respected. It is entirely possible that they may form a coalition government with the ACP,DOP.
A similar situation took place in Russia in November of 1917, after the reactionary regime of Karensky was overthrown. At that time, a great many peasants were supporting the Socialist Revolutionaries. That being the case, the Communists, led by Lenin, adopted the agrarian program of the Socialist Revolutionaries. They in turn were furious. Sore winners! They got exactly what they wanted and complained bitterly.
After they calmed down, those same Socialist Revolutionaries, or at least one of their factions, joined the Communists in forming a coalition government, in honour of the newly created Soviet Union.
That is the reason I am calling upon class conscious people, by whom I mean people who are aware of the revolutionary theories of Marx and Lenin. to come together and form an American Communist Party, Dictatorship Of the Proletariat.
It is very likely that most of the people who respond to that call and form the ACP,DOP will be current or former members of the middle class. Just bear in mind that Marx, Engels and Lenin were also members of the middle class, so that places you in good company. The class background is not important. The message that is being carried, that of Marx and Lenin, is all important.
It is perhaps not an exaggeration to say that the success of the socialist American revolution depends upon you. So feel free to take action, in the interests of raising the level of awareness of the working class to that of Marxists, starting with various slogans:
Workers of the World, Unite!
Scientific Socialism!
Dictatorship Of the Proletariat!
