Create An International Communist Party, Dictatorship of the Proletariat. ICP,DP.

The title of this article may seem rather strange, as all previous Communist Parties have represented one country. It may be objected that the Soviet Union represented a number of Independent Soviet Socialist Republics, each of which was free to separate at any time. It is also entirely possible that each Independent Republic had its own separate Communist Party, at least in the early years, starting in 1917. That is not clear. It is clear that ‘’times change’’, and in fact, there is a huge difference between Russia of 1917, at the time of the Revolution, and our current situation.

That in no way changes the fact that our current Second American Revolution, which is just now breaking out into full and open rebellion, will closely resemble the Great Russian October Soviet Socialist Revolution. It just means that there are notable differences, which must not be ignored.

Incidentally, for the purposes of this article, I refer to the country of the United States as ‘’America’’, and the citizens of that country as ‘’Americans’’, out of respect for the people of that country, as that is the nomenclature which they use. It is not entirely accurate, but as they are in the forefront of the International Communist Movement, it is appropriate to make certain rather inconsequential concessions.

Further, as I suggested in a previous article, the current American Revolution has already spread across international borders, and not just into Canada. The British King Charles, has already stripped his brother, Andrew, of all titles of nobility, in an effort to distance the ‘’Throne’’, from the Epstein Scandal, as well as the rest of the American Revolution.

As well, there are unconfirmed reports that certain high ranking members of the Israeli government may be involved in that same Epstein Scandal. Without doubt, the American Revolution has already spread across international borders. We must respond in kind. That response must involve the creation of an International Communist Party, Dictatorship of the Proletariat. Such a Party can coordinate the activities of the working classes, the proletariat, of various countries.

This is to say that the proletariat of numerous countries, and not just those in North America and Western Europe, are now much more advanced, more cultured, than were their Russian counterparts of 1917. This calls for a different response, on our part. It is up to us to provide them with the respect they deserve. In this way, the World Socialist Republic, which was predicted by Lenin, may soon become a reality.

As concerns the name of the Party, it is important to bear in mind that no name is completely accurate, and further, over time, the name of the Party has changed, as the political situation has changed. The initial name of the Party, created largely by Lenin, in 1898, was the Russian Social Democratic Labour Party. At that time, this name was correct, as Marxists fight for democracy as well as socialism.

Yet the Party became deeply divided, as one faction was of the opinion that, ‘’Social Democracy must change from a party of the social revolution into a democratic party of social reform’’, as Lenin stated in his great work, What Is To Be Done?

Of course, Lenin strongly opposed this revisionist faction. Yet all attempts to reconcile the two factions came to naught. For that reason, the Party split, in 1903, into a majority, or Bolshevik, led by Lenin, and a minority, or Menshevik. Hence the name the Bolshevik Party.

For several years, the name ‘’Bolshevik Party’’ served its purpose, that of distinguishing themselves from the revisionists of the Menshevik Party.

Yet shortly after the successful Russian October Revolution, in March of 1918, Lenin decided to once again change the name of the Party, of course with the approval of the Central Committee. That new name was the ‘’Russian Communist Party, (Bolsheviks).

As Lenin explained, ‘’Our Party must make the most decisive, sharp, clear and and unambiguous statement that is possible, to the effect that it has broken off connections with that old official socialism, for which purpose a change in the name of the Party will be the most effective means.’’

Now it is once again time to draw a clear distinction between ourselves, those who are true Scientific Socialists, Communists, from the numerous social chauvinists, utopian socialists, and anarchists, most of whom claim to be Marxists. Yet the Dictatorship of the Proletariat is the ‘’touchstone of a true Communist’’, according to Lenin. All revisionist socialists, social chauvinists one and all, as well as all utopian socialists, are united in their opposition to the Dictatorship of the Proletariat.

As well, Engels considered the Dictatorship of the Proletariat to be so important, he used that capitalization in the introduction he wrote, in 1891, to the work by Marx, titled, ‘’The Civil War In France’’.

As well, the term ‘’Communist’’ is based upon previous revolutionary experience. It was the workers of Paris, who revolted in 1871, established the first proletarian state, and referred to this as the ‘’Paris Commune’’. They referred to themselves as ‘’Communards’’. It was in their honour that Lenin chose the name ‘’Communist’’.

True, Lenin placed the name ‘’Bolsheviks’’ in brackets, after the title ‘’Russian Communist Party’’. Yet the reason for this was that the word Bolshevik, majority, was of little significance. It could just as easily have been Menshevik, minority. Such cannot be said of the term ‘’Dictatorship of the Proletariat’’, or DP, which is of the utmost importance, and must not be placed in brackets.

Just as all political parties need a political platform, so too the I.C.P.,D.P. is no exception. For that reason, may I suggest that the numerous articles I have written, over the last few years, become that political platform. All of those articles are based upon the Scientific Socialist, Revolutionary theories of Marx and Lenin.

I suspect that the act of creating such a Party, is beyond the ability of even the most advanced workers. Yet I am sure that it is well within the ability of middle class intellectuals. Fortunately, the current revolutionary movement has provided us with an abundance of such people. As Marx and Engels stated, in the Communist Manifesto:

‘’Finally, in times when the class struggle nears the decisive hour, the process of dissolution going on within the ruling class, in fact within the whole range of old society, assumes such a violent, glaring character, that a small section of the ruling class cuts itself adrift, and joins the revolutionary class, the class that holds the future in its hands. Just as, therefore, at an earlier period, a section of the nobility went over to the bourgeoisie, so now a portion of the bourgeoisie goes over to the proletariat, and in particular, a portion of the bourgeois ideologists, who have raised themselves to the level of comprehending theoretically the historical movement as a whole.’’

It is the -former- bourgeois ideologists, those who have been able to ‘’raise themselves to the level of comprehending theoretically the historical movement as a whole’’, who are capable of creating a true International Communist Party, Dictatorship of the Proletariat. I leave this in their competent hands.

Of course, I am quite anxious to help out in any way possible. Feel free to reach out by phone or email. But make every effort to be discrete. Rest assured, the ‘’powers that be’’ take a very dim view of all matters they even suspect to be Communist. And the creation of such a Party is the very definition of Communist! Courage! Now is the time to be resolute! The ‘’decisive hour’’ is at hand! Now is not the time to waver! Now is the time to ‘’join the revolutionary class’’! The ‘’class that holds the future in its hands’’! You will not be disappointed! Under the Dictatorship of the Proletariat, your skills and training will be in demand. In turn, you will be most handsomely rewarded.

Concerning the Democracy Forward Foundation

There is an interesting video, on the internet, titled ‘’Lawsuit threatens to blow the lid off the Trump White House’s Epstein secrets’’. It is most instructive, as it raises questions which the mainstream press avoids.

As the narrator states:

‘’A lot of people in this administration (the Trump administration), people in power, the FBI Director, the Attorney General, the Deputy Attorney General, and more, spent years building up the release of these files. And now the collective group has kind of done a one eighty (complete turn around). Doesn’t it make you wonder what they have been saying about it behind the scenes all these months? And what they are being asked to protect?

‘’Today, one of the organizations that has been at the forefront, of holding this administration accountable, sued the Trump administration, to answer those very questions. That lawsuit, filed by Democracy Forward, is demanding that the administration release information about their handling of the Epstein debacle, information that could explain why they have avoided disclosing the Epstein files. Among other things, the lawsuit is seeking internal communications, and this is a key part from within the FBI and the Department of Justice. Basically anything about Epstein, potential client list, flight logs, and anything related to Ghislaine Maxwell.

‘’Just to put a fine point on this, that would include emails, memos, text messages, any chatter whatsoever, basically any internal chatter whatsoever, from within these agencies, about how to handle what has become a huge problem for Trump. And they list several top officials at the FBI and DOJ whose correspondence they are seeking, including Attorney General Pam Bondi, FBI Director Kash Patel, and a number of high level officials who work for them.

‘’But there was one name in particular that appears in that lawsuit that stuck out to me, because they also requested all records reflecting communications between any of those laws enforcement officials and White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt. Anything they might have discussed with Leavitt, regarding the Jeffrey Epstein matter now. Caroline Leavitt clearly does not work for the FBI or the DOJ. She works in the White House and she is notably the only White House official named in the request. So even the mere suggestion that she might have communicated with the FBI or the DOJ, about something like this, is a pretty gigantic red flag.

‘’I mean, in my experience, senior officials at the FBI and DOJ and the White House, take great pains to avoid even the appearance of coordination on law enforcement matters. And to be clear, we do not know if Caroline Leavitt corresponded with those officials or what might have been said. But they are asking for a reason. I’m going to talk to him about it in a moment. And remember, the Press Secretary is not only responsible for answering to the public, they are also an advisor to the president. So any communication that Caroline Levitt had with DOJ or FBI, could tell us a lot about what the president is trying to hide.’’

I chose to quote the full introduction, by that narrator, as it is so important. She ‘’nailed it’’! She asked the same question that so many common people are asking: Why is the Trump administration withholding the Epstein files? What are they so desperate to hide?

This was followed by an interview with Skye Perryman, a lady who was introduced as the President and CEO of Democracy Forward, the group that just filed a lawsuit, one which is ‘’seeking documents about the handling of the Epstein files and internal communications’’.

As Skye Perryman stated, rather bluntly, they are looking for ‘’what this administration is hiding, and what the cover up is’’. She also stated that this ‘’legal action’’ included an ‘’expedited processing request’’, as the law recognizes that ‘’on issues of significant importance, where there is great public interest, where there is great media interest, where the people in this country are wanting to know, or asking their government to be transparent, the law gives a mechanism to ask for that.’’

Strangely enough, that video does not mention the ‘’mechanism of law’’, which allows citizens to ask for such information.

This brings us to a separate video, titled ‘’Trump secret meeting backfires as new lawsuit demands immediate release’’. In this video, the narrator documents the fact that the Epstein Files are being demanded, under the ‘’Freedom of Information Act’’. Good to know.

The main thing to bear in mind, is the fact that such an Act exists, and that there are progressive forces who are determined to use this Act, in order to force the Trump administration to release the Epstein Files. Or at least, they are making a supreme effort. Bravo, Democracy Forward!

In the interest of clarifying their position, I have chosen to copy part of their policy statement, from the internet:

‘’Across the country, from local school boards to the halls of Congress, extreme, anti-democratic movements seek to wield political power and roll back our rights. At this critical moment where those who were responsible for January 6th have returned to power, we must use the law to defend our democracy and build for a better future. The courts are now the frontline in the battleground for democracy, not merely the last resort protectors of it.

‘’In towns and cities across America, Democracy Forward provides legal representation and expert counsel to people and communities who make up the very fabric of American democracy — free of charge. We also leverage our collective power and the law to hold anti-democratic actors to account at the national level.

‘’Our strategic pillars incorporate immediate defensive needs and a longer-term, proactive view in this fight for our democracy, our present, and our future. We leverage creativity, legal excellence, and our team’s unique mix of expertise and diverse experience in service of an unyielding determination to make our future better than our past.’’

Democracy Forward is absolutely correct! All across the country, including the ‘’halls of Congress’’, there are ‘’extreme, anti democratic movements’’, which seek to ‘’wield political power and roll back our rights’’.

Yet it is also a fact that these ‘’anti democratic movements’’ are funded and coordinated by the monopoly capitalists, the multi billionaires, the class of people, known as the bourgeoisie. Those are the people who are determined to destroy the American democratic republic, and replace it with the rule of an Oligarchy!

It is perhaps not too surprising, that the spokespeople for Democracy Forward, neglected to mention that ‘’not so little detail’’. It is clear that all member of that progressive organization are members of the middle class, the petty bourgeois. As such, they are supremely patriotic, as that is characteristic of the middle class. For that reason, they are determined to defend the democratic republic.

Incidentally, the ‘’upper class’’ of monopoly capitalists, the bourgeoisie, is not the slightest bit patriotic. They care only about their money. Their ‘’loyalty’’ begins, and ends, with their tax breaks. To the extent that the American government continues to give them a ‘’free ride’’, then they will remain patriotic.

The ‘’lower classes’’, including the workers and farmers, are ‘’somewhere in the middle’’. They tend to be quite patriotic, proud to display Old Glory, the American flag. Yet hunger and poverty tend to ‘’dampen their enthusiasm’’. And lately, ever more common people are being crushed by poverty. As well, the family farmers are a ‘’dying breed’’, going bankrupt, driven into the ranks of the unemployed. They simply cannot compete with the corporate farms.

That leaves the working class, those who work for wages, referred to as the proletariat. The only ‘’consistently revolutionary class’’, according to Lenin. Their conditions of life lead to this revolutionary development.

Now that Democracy Forward is determined to get their hands on the Epstein Files, using the Freedom of Information Act, this has the attention of the working people. Assuming that Democracy Forward is successful, then those same working people will learn that numerous ‘’rich and powerful people’’, members of the bourgeoisie, were engaged for years, in molesting under age girls. They will also learn that the law enforcement agencies have been busy covering this up.

On the other hand, assuming that the government refuses to hand over those Epstein Files, in violation of their own laws, then the working people will also become aware that the ‘’rich and powerful’’, the bourgeoisie, are in charge, fully intend to remain in charge, and take care of each other.

This brings us to the members of Democracy Forward. As they are progressive people, deeply concerned with the democratic republic, it is very likely that many of them will come around to our way of thinking.

The reason I say this, is because of that which Marx stated in the Communist Manifesto:

To those people, as I have mentioned so many times before, feel free to cast aside your illusions, and face the fact that Marx and Lenin were correct. That which you were taught in University, was only the bourgeois distortion of the revolutionary theories of those two great Scientific Socialists. Feel free to read, once again, the Essential Works of Marx and Lenin, but this time with an open mind.

The revolutionary motion, of the working class, is approaching a fever pitch. An insurrection could break out at any time. Feel free to join the working class, the ‘’class which holds the future in its hands’’. Embrace the revolutionary theories of Marx and Lenin, Scientific Socialism, in the form of the Dictatorship of the Proletariat. Join us in the class struggle against the multi billionaires, the bourgeoisie. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

No Kings Protests

June 14, 2025. The 250th anniversary of the creation of the American army. Also the birthday of Donald Trump. Such a happy coincidence calls for a celebration! In honour of such a momentous occasion, President Donald Trump called for a military parade, to be held in the capital of Washington, DC.

At the same time, over two thousand protests were organized, within all fifty states, in almost all cities and towns, across the country. This is being referred to as the ‘’No Kings Protests’’. It is estimated that possibly four to six million people attended, making it the largest single day protest in American history!

Countless news outlets covered these protests, as well as the military parade. Perhaps the finest coverage was provided by journalists from the country of Australia. Their reports were both impartial and accurate.

As one of those journalist summarized, ‘’These protests reveal that the United States of America is anything but united’’!

This is most emphatically true! The country is deeply divided. As that same journalist went on to state:

‘’Two very different Americas, on display. A military parade rolling through the streets of Washington, DC. As fury rises against the Commander In Chief, in protests spanning the entire country. The king in question, President Donald Trump, front and centre, on his seventy ninth birthday, overseeing seven thousand troops, dozens of tanks, and just as many aircraft. An exhibition of military might, to mark the country’s 250th anniversary. Trump taking the opportunity to deliver a blunt warning to the world. Donald Trump has long desired a military parade. It was an idea shot down in his first term, but on his return to power, with a deck stacked full of loyalists, his dreams today became a reality. At a time when the deep division within his country, is on full display. Crowds in New York, Philadelphia, and Los Angeles. Downtown LA a powder keg, throwing rocks and bottles. Chaos on the streets, clashes too in Chicago, Texas and Philadelphia. Civil unrest that many fear, is playing right into the presidents hands. If there was ever a day which illustrated how divided America is, that day is today….Across the country, tense protests pushed back against the president. Massive crowds speaking with one voice.’’

That report, while perhaps a bit disjointed, provides us with a rather accurate description of the current state of chaos, within the country. A country that is, quite clearly, ‘’anything but united’’!

From the numerous videos, it is clear that the protesters are from ‘’all walks of life’’, young and old, of different races and ethnic groups, class backgrounds, and include a considerable number of veterans.

It is equally clear that this is a democratic movement. It is safe to say that millions of Americans are now actively defending their democratic republic. Many of them were proudly carrying American flags. As those who were interviewed stated, they were  ‘’united against their president’’, as ‘’Trump is acting like a monarch’’, rather than an ‘’elected politician’’. They are convinced that he is determined to ‘’set himself up as king’’.

Their fears are well grounded! At the military parade, Trump forced the troops to take an oath of allegiance to himself, Donald Trump, to ‘’swear to obey his orders’’, rather than the usual oath, that of defending the Constitution! Such an oath is characteristic of dictators!

Earlier, at a news conference, given by Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, California Senator Alex Padilla was thrown to the ground and hand cuffed. After he identified himself as a federal Senator!

Kristi Noem also admits that, ‘’The military presence in LA is explicitly for political and ideological purposes, to liberate LA from the socialist governing classes.’’

As if Governor Gavin Newsom and Mayor Karen Bass are socialists! They most emphatically are not! To even suggest such a thing is nonsense! Also offensive!

As well, Congresswoman LaMonica McIver was denied admittance to a detention centre, and has now been indicted! She is being charged, for doing that which she was elected to do! Her duty!

The mainstream press is accurately reporting that ‘’LA is still a powder keg, with officers on horseback, pushing back crowds’’.

As LA is the cultural centre of the country, it is clearly leading the American insurrection.

Strangely enough, certain American government officials are convinced that the protesters are being ‘’led by paid insurrectionists’’. Perhaps the fact that these protests are so well organized, makes them suspicious. As well, some protesters are being supplied with face shields, home made shields and spray paint. The FBI has been called in to investigate.

If anything, it is far more likely that this is an indication that Councils are involved in these protests. After all, revolutionary motion frequently gives birth to Councils, or Soviets, as that is the Russian word for Council.

As an indication of the strength of the revolutionary motion, it is significant that several American actors are now actively protesting. Their fans pay strict attention to whatever they say, so that gives them great spiritual power.

Perhaps we can compare the current situation, in America, to that of Russia, in the summer of 1917. The similarities are striking, so in this manner, we can learn what to expect.

The Tsar, or Emperor, had been overthrown in the February Revolution of that year. Yet the country was still at war with Germany, the common people were still hungry, desperately poor, and the farmers were still being crushed by the landlords. Not a vast improvement!

Yet Lenin, their beloved leader, had returned to the capitol of Petrograd, in April of that year. He was the leader of the Bolshevik Party, formerly referred to as the Social Democratic Party. They later changed their name to the Communist Party.

Then in July, a spontaneous uprising took place. This has gone down in history as the ‘’Revolutionary July Days’’. Everyone expected the Bolsheviks to seize power. That never happened.

Instead, Lenin called for people to be calm, to stop revolting. He was convinced that the time for revolution was not at hand. Even if the Bolsheviks were to seize power, it was doubtful that they could hold on to it. Countless common people were still not convinced of the necessity of revolution.

The members of the Bolshevik Party were mobilized, given the task of raising the level of awareness of the common people, both workers and farmers, in preparation for the approaching revolution.

Remarkably, within a very short time, several months, the situation had changed, and quite dramatically. The members of the Bolshevik Party succeeded in raising the level of awareness of the common people, to the point that they embraced revolution.

As a result of this, the Great Russian October Soviet Socialist Revolution took place, successfully.

Our current American situation is different, in a few respects. For one thing, we do not have a class of nobility, or a class of landlords. That serves to simplify the class struggle. As well, the working class is quite cultured, which makes it so much easier to communicate with them.

On the other hand, we do not have a true Communist Party, one which calls for the Dictatorship of the Proletariat. At least, not just yet!

What we do have, is a working class which is at roughly  the same level of awareness, as that of the Russian common people, workers and farmers, in 1917. We also have the same problem, that of raising their level of awareness, to become class conscious, aware of themselves as a class, with their own class interests.

They have to be made aware that their interests are diametrically opposed to the interests of the monopoly capitalist class, the bourgeoisie. It is necessary to overthrow that class, of multi billionaires, to smash the existing state apparatus, and crush those parasites, under the Dictatorship of the Proletariat.

In this way, the revolutionary movement can and will be transformed, from a democratic movement, into one calling for Scientific Socialism.

This is to say that, just as in Russia 1917, it is up to Scientific Socialists, conscious people, those who are aware of the revolutionary theories of Marx and Lenin, to raise the level of awareness of the working class, the proletariat. The most advanced workers must be raised to the level of true Communists. They in turn will lead the less advanced.

The importance of smashing the existing state apparatus must be stressed, as otherwise, those who merely pretend  to be socialist, will make every effort to take over the existing state apparatus, at the time of the revolution, and set themselves up, as the new rulers. Not a vast improvement!

It is very likely that these ‘’No Kings’’ protests are merely the beginning of an insurrection, the rising up of the proletariat, in a full scale revolution. The Second American Revolution!

Now is the time for middle class intellectuals, who are aware of the Scientific Socialist theories of Marx and Lenin, to bring that awareness to the working class, the proletariat.

Such individuals have been exposed to the bourgeois distortion of those revolutionary theories, in University. They are aware that it is the proletariat, the only consistently revolutionary class, that is capable of overthrowing the completely reactionary class of monopoly capitalists, the bourgeoisie. That is the same class that is determined to abolish the American democratic republic, and establish the rule of an oligarchy.

At the same time, the bourgeoisie is equally determined to wipe out the middle class. As those same middle class intellectuals are also well aware! Yet they choose to not face this most unpleasant fact. This is referred to as living in denial.

Most of these intellectuals are members of the Democratic Socialists of America, DSA. By and large, they think that socialism is a fine idea, but simply not possible.

Reality check! It was Marx who studied capitalism, from a scientific viewpoint, and proved that it would necessarily  lead to a state of Scientific Socialism, in the form of the Dictatorship of the Proletariat!

It is utopian socialism that is a ‘’fine idea, but simply not possible’’. Various attempts to establish such societies have proven that, beyond any shadow of a doubt!

This stands in stark contrast to Scientific Socialism! The fact that earlier attempts have failed- temporarily!- should not discourage us. This was largely due to the fact that, after previous revolutions, the bourgeoisie were not crushed, or at least, were crushed with insufficient enthusiasm. We must learn from the mistakes of previous revolutions.

This places a very heavy burden, upon the shoulders of middle class intellectuals. Bear in mind that it is the bourgeoisie that is ‘’calling the shots’’! They are the ones who are determined to abolish the democratic republic, and replace it with the rule of the ‘’chosen few’’, themselves, an Oligarchy. While at the same time wiping out the middle class.

To such intellectuals, I have a word of advice. Unless there are some drastic changes, you are about to become impoverished! You are about to be welcomed into the world of the proletariat!

The only alternative is to assist in overthrowing the bourgeoisie, smashing the existing state apparatus, and establishing the Dictatorship of the Proletariat. Under Scientific Socialism, your services will be in demand. We need competent administrators. You can expect to be most handsomely rewarded, after the successful Revolution.

In summary, the current protests, which are the beginning of an insurrection, the prelude to the Second American Revolution, must be transformed, from a movement to preserve the democratic republic, into a revolutionary movement for Scientific Socialism.

This can be accomplished only by raising the level of awareness of the working class. The most advanced workers must be raised to the level of Scientific Socialists, true Communists. A careful reading of State and Revolution, by Lenin, will go a long way towards that goal.

The working class is highly cultured, much more so than in previous revolutions. Bear in mind that the Russian common people were far less cultured, in 1917, yet the Bolsheviks managed to prepare them for revolution, within the space of a few short months.

We may not have a few months! Time is not on our side! The working people may rise up, in open rebellion, at any time! The Revolution is not going to wait for us to prepare the proletariat! It will happen when it happens!

It may help to think of the approaching Revolution, as an Act of God, or a Higher Power, if you prefer. An earthquake comes to mind, as does a volcano. Such cataclysmic events take place, on a regular basis, but are beyond the control of mere mortals.

That being said, it is also a fact that the better prepared the proletariat is, the better the chances of a successful Revolution.

We will know that we are being successful, in raising the level of awareness of the working class, the proletariat, when the signs and posters contain class content. May I suggest the following slogans:

Workers of the World, Unite!

Scientific Socialism!

Peace! Democracy! Socialism!

Dictatorship of the Proletariat!

Democracy Under Attack

History has taught us that, during a time of revolution, there are occasions when members of different classes come together, in pursuit of a common goal. We are currently facing one of those exceptional occasions.

All across the country, agents of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, ICE, are arresting those whom they even suspect of being illegal immigrants. Those arrested are being denied even their most basic democratic rights, as is guaranteed in the Constitution. This has resulted in wide spread protests, especially in the city of  Los Angeles, referred to as LA.

In response to those protests, President Trump has sent in troops, from the California National Guard, as well as the American Marines. In violation of federal law, it should be noted.

As previously documented, the governor of California, Gavin Newsom, has filed a lawsuit, in opposition to this. What is more, he has spoken out against this assault on American democracy. I have chosen to transcribe it, as best I was able:

‘’Authoritarian regimes begin by targeting people, who are least able to defend themselves, but they do not stop there. Trump and his loyalists, they thrive on division, because it allows them to take more power, and exert even more control. Trump is not opposed to lawlessness and violence, as long as it serves him. Trump is pulling a military dragnet, all across LA, well beyond his stated intent to just go after violent and serious criminals. His agents are arresting dish washers, gardeners, day labourers and seamstresses. That is just weakness, masquerading as strength.

‘’Donald Trump, without consulting California law enforcement leaders, commandeered two thousand of our states National Guard, to deploy on our streets. Illegally and for no reason. This brazen abuse of power, by a sitting president, enflamed a combustible situation. Putting our people, our officers, and even our National Guard at risk. That is when the downward spiral began. He doubled down on his dangerous National Guard deployment by fanning the flames even harder, and the president, he did it on purpose.

‘’This is not just about protests here in LA. When Donald Trump sought blanket authority to commandeer the National Guard, he made that order to apply to every state in this nation. This is about all of us. This is about you. California may be first, but it clearly will not end here. Other states are next. Democracy is next. Democracy is under assault before our eyes. This moment we have feared.

‘’If some of us can be snatched up off the streets, without a warrant, based only on suspicion or skin colour, then none of us are safe. And we all know this Saturday, he is ordering American heroes, the United States military, and forcing them to put on a vulgar display to celebrate his birthday. Just as other failed dictators have done in the past. California may be first, but it clearly will not end here. Other states are next. Our democracy is next. Democracy is under assault before our eyes. This moment we have feared have arrived. ‘’

Although the grammar leaves something to be desired, the message is clear. Governor Gavin Newsom is fighting for the democratic rights of all Americans. As are the protesters!

It is no secret that Newsom has his ‘’eye on the White House’’. He wants to be president! As Donald Trump is well aware! It is also no secret that Trump does not welcome any competition. Newsom qualifies as first class competition! He and Trump are two of a kind! No wonder they cannot stand each other!

That in no way changes the fact that Newsom is fighting for the democratic rights of all Americans. He is determined to maintain the democratic republic, as are we!

This is to say that he is fighting for democracy, although for his own reasons. Those reasons are far different from the reasons of the protesters. Yet Newsom is still an ally, at least for the moment.

We can compare this to the situation which existed in Russia, during a similar situation, in early 1917. The emperor of Russia, referred to as Tsar Nicholas II, was overthrown in the February Revolution. Yet the First World War was raging, and Russia was allied with Britain and France, against Germany and her allies.

The slaughter of the common people was terrible. Those same people wanted peace. As well, they were hungry. Further, the family farmers were being forced to pay the landlords. Quite reasonably, they wanted to own the land they were tilling. For that reason, the workers and farmers had a slogan: Peace! Land! Bread!

At that time, Lenin was living in Switzerland, as he had been exiled, years earlier. Yet he was closely following events in Russia. So in March of that year, he wrote the first of five letters, referred to as ‘’Letters From Afar’’. I have decided to copy the part which I consider to be most relevant:

‘’That the revolution succeeded so quickly and- seemingly, at the first superficial glance- so radically, is only due to the fact that, as a result of an extremely unique historical situation, absolutely dissimilar currents, absolutely heterogeneous class interests, absolutely contrary political and social strivings have merged, and in a strikingly ‘harmonious’ manner. Namely, the conspiracy of the Anglo French imperialists, who impelled Milyukov, Guchkov and Co. to seize power for the purpose of continuing the imperialist war, for the purpose of conducting the war still more ferociously and obstinately, for the purpose of slaughtering fresh millions of Russian workers and peasants….This is on the one hand. On the other, there was a profound proletarian and mass popular movement of a revolutionary character (a movement of the entire poorest section of the population of town and country) for bread, for peace, for real freedom.’’ (italics by Lenin)

This is to stress the fact that earlier, the Russian common people, the workers and farmers, were determined to overthrow the Tsar, as they were determined to have peace. On the other hand, the British and French imperialists, allies of Russia in their war with Germany, also wanted the Tsar removed from the throne, because they wanted to continue the war! Even though the goal was the same, that of removing the Tsar from the throne, the reasons were precisely the opposite!

Lenin referred to this as an example of  ‘’absolutely contrary political and social strivings’’, coming together, ‘’merging’’, in a strikingly ‘’harmonious manner’’.

It is significant that Lenin did not refer to this as an alliance, of two different classes, because it was not. In fact, the Russian common people, the workers and farmers, had no way of knowing that the British and French imperialists, also wanted Nicholas removed from the throne.

I have deliberately chosen this rather extreme example, of different classes, which are normally at war with each other, in pursuit of a common goal. This happens on occasion, especially in time of revolution.

Now we have a somewhat similar situation, in America. The current situation is also revolutionary. As part of their opposition to ICE, the working people are opposing the stationing of troops in the cities. As well, Governor Newsom is also opposed to the stationing of those same troops, in the cities, but for a different reason. He wants to become president. Same goal, different reasons.

The different reasons do not matter. As long as the goal is the same, we can, and should, support Governor Newsom. As well, we should support any and all members of the government, whether Governors or Members of Congress, who are opposed to the stationing of troops in the cities.

In comparison to Russia of 1917, an important difference is that the American working class is far more cultured. It is now aware of the fact that it is about to enter into an alliance, with Governor Newsom, as well as certain other members of the ruling class of multi billionaires, or more accurately, those who are their devoted servants.

Temporarily, of course! And strictly on this one particular issue. After this one issue is resolved, then it is an entirely different matter. It is very likely that we will then return to being class enemies. That is entirely up to them.

On the other hand, it is also very likely that certain elected officials, in both the capital of Washington and state capitals, will join the revolution, as it develops. That has happened in previous revolutions, and there is no reason to believe that our revolution will be any different.

It is certainly to the advantage of the working class, to have elected officials, in the various state and federal capitals, who are at least sympathetic to the cause of the revolution.

Lenin considered this, in his great work, Left Wing Communism, An Infantile Disorder, written in 1920, as he summed up the lessons learned, from the three Russian Revolutions:

‘’Participation in a bourgeois- democratic parliament, even a few weeks before the victory of a Soviet republic and even after such a victory, actually helps that proletariat to prove to the backward masses why such parliaments deserve to be done away with; it facilitates their successful dissolution, and helps to make bourgeois parliamentarian ‘politically obsolete’’’. (italics by Lenin)

This is to stress the fact that, we should not shy away from supporting certain politicians, on certain issues. In this way, the less advanced members of the working class will learn that the existing state apparatus has to be smashed, at the time of the next American Revolution, and replaced with a different state apparatus, in the form of the Dictatorship of the Proletariat.

May the banners and posters contain less vulgarity, and more class content. In this way, the level of awareness of the working class will be raised:

Dictatorship of the Proletariat!

Scientific Socialism!

Workers of the World, Unite!

Peace! Democracy! Socialism!

Insurrection!

Tuesday, June 10. Day five of the ‘’Insurrection’’, based in Los Angeles, California, according to the mainstream media.

An agency of the federal government, known as Immigration and Customs Enforcement, ICE, is determined to round up and deport countless people, those whom they refer to as ‘’undocumented aliens’’, commonly referred to as ‘’illegals’’, as they are in the country illegally.

There are a great many concerned citizens, referred to as protesters, who are attempting to prevent this. They maintain that those who are being arrested, are being denied their democratic rights, as is guaranteed in the Constitution.

Even though these protests are in defence of democracy, the federal government is taking this very seriously. They see this as a challenge to their authority, as indeed it is.

For that reason, President Trump has ‘’mobilized’’ four thousand members of the California National Guard. As well, seven hundred Marines have also been ‘’called up’’, ordered to ‘’deploy to Los Angeles’’. In direct violation of federal laws!

In particular, the ‘’Posse Comitatus Act’’, forbids federal troops from taking part in law enforcement, except when ‘’expressly authorized by law’’. No such ‘’express authorization’’ has been enacted, which gives Trump no right to send in federal troops! That law can be enacted only by Congress! Sending in federal troops is completely unconstitutional!

It is to the credit of the governor of California, Gavin Newsom, that he first politely requested that President Trump ‘’rescind that order’’, as it is ‘’illogical, illegal and unconstitutional’’, not to mention a ‘’breach of state sovereignty’’. He also stated that Trump is ‘’acting like a dictator’’, as by calling out federal troops, he is ‘’taking a step towards authoritarianism’’.

Of course, Trump responded to this polite request, with a typical display of ignorance. First came the personal insults, closely followed by the suggestion that his ‘’Border Czar’’, Tom Homan, should arrest Governor Newsom! All in the interests of maintaining ‘’law and order’’!

Reality check, Mr. President! There is no law and order to ‘’maintain’’! The criminal gangs are completely out of control! Drugs are openly being sold on the streets! The police are powerless against these well armed and organized gangs! Drive by shootings are common place! As are mass murders! The police have been reduced to picking up the bodies, documenting the slaughter!

The very idea that sending in the military, in opposition to people who are exercising their democratic right to protest, in order to ‘’restore law and order’’, is ludicrous! Yet such ‘’muddled thinking’’, is characteristic of the bourgeois!

So now Governor Newsom is currently filing a lawsuit, against the Trump administration, for first deploying the National Guard, and now the American Marines, without state approval. It should be interesting to see how the courts respond.

Regardless of the outcome, there can be no doubt that this conflict, between the state and federal branches of government, is of great significance. As the Communist Manifesto states:

This conflict, between President Trump and Governor Newsom, is merely an example of the ‘’process of dissolution’’, going on within the current ruling class, the bourgeoisie.

At least, we now know what to expect. A number of ‘’bourgeois ideologists’’, those who have ‘’raised themselves theoretically’’, to the level of Scientific Socialists, are about to ‘’join the revolutionary class’’, the working class, the proletariat, the ‘’class that holds the future in its hands’’.

This begs the question: Why are the bourgeois so concerned with the protests in Los Angeles? Similar protests are taking place in various other parts of the country.

The answer is that Los Angeles is not only the second largest city in the country, but is also the cultural centre of the country. After all, it is the home of Hollywood, widely considered to be the entertainment capitol of the world.

With that in mind, as is well known, I have long maintained that this, the Second American Revolution, will closely resemble the Russian Revolution of 1917. This despite the fact that there were two revolutions in Russia, that year. As well, there were important differences. Yet the similarities are striking.

Russia was a huge country, as is America. Russia also had a considerable amount of industry, so that gave rise to a sizeable working class, the proletariat. As the proletariat is the only consistently revolutionary class, their influence over the other classes, especially the class of family farmers, the peasants, far exceeds their numbers.

By contrast, America has no nobility, almost no landlords, very few family farmers, and a constantly shrinking middle class. This serves to simplify the class struggle! Capitalists against workers! Bourgeoisie against proletarians!

This also makes the task of starting the revolution far more difficult, than it was in Russia in 1917, but at the same time, much easier to carry through. All according to Lenin. Now to proceed.

The Russian February Revolution of 1917, started in the capital of Petrograd, currently referred to as Saint Petersburg. It was also the cultural centre of the country, much as Los Angeles is the cultural centre of America.

The nobility, the Romanovs, had been ruling Russia for three centuries. At that time, the Emperor, referred to as the Tsar, was Nicholas II. He ruled the empire with an ‘’iron hand’’! Not one to tolerate discontent! He had weathered a previous revolution, that which has gone down in history as the Russian Revolution of 1905. He was not about to tolerate another one!

He knew that Petrograd was the centre of all revolutionary activity. At least, the Revolution of 1905 had started in Petrograd. Even the shooting down of peaceful protesters had failed to stop that Revolution! Yet the fact that the Cossacks had carried out his order to shoot them, was at least encouraging. Those troops could be counted upon to follow orders! Or so he thought!

For that reason, aware of the wide spread discontent, he was careful to place a detachment of Cossacks in Petrograd, in early 1917. Just in case the local police and military was not prepared to carry out the required dirty work! That of shooting civilians!

Nicholas had no way of knowing that the situation had changed, and quite dramatically, since the Revolution of 1905. His closest advisors were certainly not about to tell him! They were careful to tell him precisely what he wanted to hear! It was in their best interests to do so!

That in no way changes the fact that the Revolution of February, 1917, was far broader and deeper than the Revolution of 1905! It even extended to the Cossacks! Or at least, the rank and file Cossacks, the enlisted men.

For that reason, at the time the Cossacks were ordered to, once again, fire upon peaceful protesters, they refused. Instead, they fired upon their officers. The Cossacks joined the Revolution!

Now here in America, the Marines are considered to be the elite, the most highly trained, disciplined troops in the American military. Similar to the Cossacks of Russia, in 1917. It is very likely that is the reason Trump is sending them to Los Angeles. They can be counted upon to open fire on protesters, if so ordered. Or not!

A retired Marine officer gave his opinion, concerning the deployment of Marines to Los Angeles. He is of the opinion that ‘’it could end horrifically’’, as Marines are trained to ‘’close with and destroy the enemy’’. Any other training they received, concerning ‘’dealing with civilians’’, was merely within the last day or two.

It remains to be seen, if they will indeed fire upon their own people, if so ordered, or follow the example of the Russian Cossacks, and join the protesters, the Revolutionaries.

Now to continue our comparison with the Russian Revolution of 1917.

As is well known, the February Revolution succeeded in overthrowing the Tsar. This gave birth to a democratic republic, as Russia was no longer ruled by a monarch. A step in the right direction, but only a step. The country was still at war, the people were still hungry, and the farmers were still working land that was owned by the landlords. Not a vast improvement!

This is to say that the Russian February Revolution, was a bourgeois revolution. It replaced the rule of the nobility, with the rule of the capitalists, the bourgeois.

The workers and farmers cannot be faulted for this! They went as far as they could! They succeeded in doing that which was considered to be impossible! They overthrew the monarchy! One of the largest, most powerful empires in the world, was no more!

They were not aware of the revolutionary theories of Marx and Lenin, and could not be aware of those theories. Previously, the Social Democrats, as the Communists of the day referred to themselves, had all been arrested, and either executed or sent into exile. Lenin had been exiled, and was then living in Switzerland. In April of that year, he returned to Russia.

The political situation he faced, was most remarkable. The capitalists were not fully in charge. But then, neither were the workers! Instead, they shared power! Dual power! The Provisional Government, of the capitalists, was forced to share power, with the Soviets of Workers and Soldiers Deputies!

This calls for a little explanation. It is important, as a similar situation may soon emerge in America, so bear with me.

The Russian Revolution of 1905, gave birth to a new creation, that of Soviets, or in English, Councils. This is to say that workers got together and elected leaders, or Councillors. These Councils, or Soviets, were crushed, as the Revolution was crushed, in 1907.

Or so the Russian government thought! They were mistaken. The Soviets merely ‘’went underground’’, which is to say that they remained hidden, working secretly, to improve the living and working conditions, of the working class, including the military personnel.

We know this to be a fact, because at the time of the February Revolution, they emerged, more powerful than ever. These Soviets rivalled the power of the newly created Provisional Government, of the capitalists. For that reason, they dared not arrest Lenin, as soon as he stepped off the train, and onto the platform, in Petrograd.

In much the same way, we can expect the Councils, which have taken shape in America, to ‘’emerge’’, for lack of a better word. As the revolutionary movement becomes ever stronger, these Councils will challenge the authority of the federal government.

From the posters the protesters are carrying, it is clear that they are not yet class conscious. The one poster which comes closest to having any class content, is the one which states, ‘’Billionaires are the Real Enemy, Not Immigrants’’.

Incidentally, the cameras are reluctant to show most of the posters, because of all the vulgarity, contained on those posters. This is to say that the use of vulgarity defeats the purpose of posters, which is to spread the message. Also, no flag should be burned, American or any other, as the beliefs of all working people should be respected. A great many workers find such acts to be most offensive.

It is safe to say that the class consciousness, the level of awareness, of the American working class, is at about the same level, as that of the Russian proletariat, immediately after the February Revolution. It must be raised.

Now, anti ICE protests have erupted in other cities, across the country. The posters make it clear that they are also protesting in solidarity with the people in Los Angeles.

As yet, there is no indication that the government has any intention of sending troops to any other areas, aside from Los Angeles. Perhaps they are of the opinion that LA is the centre of the insurrection, and with the centre under control, that should quell the insurrection.

Whatever the case, our task, that of Scientific Socialists, Communists, is the same task as that of the Russian Social Democrats, immediately after the February Revolution. This is to say that we must raise the level of awareness of the working people, the proletariat, as well as the family farmers.

At the very minimum, the most advanced workers must be made aware, that the existing state apparatus must be smashed, and replaced with a separate state apparatus, in the form of the Dictatorship of the Proletariat. That is absolutely necessary, in order to crush the multi billionaires, the bourgeoisie, as they make every effort to restore their ‘’paradise lost’’, after the revolution.

This they managed to do, not only in Russia, but also in China! But only because the proletariat was negligent in exercising sufficient Dictatorship over them! We must not repeat their mistakes! Nothing less than complete and total Dictatorship over the bourgeoisie! After the Second American Revolution, we will make sure that those parasites never return to power!

We will know that we are being successful, in our goal of raising the class consciousness of the working class, when the posters read:

Dictatorship of the Proletariat!

Workers of the World, Unite!

Peace! Democracy! Socialism!

Scientific Socialism!
