12)Women With Power

The recent Womens’ March on Washington has proven one thing beyond any shadow of a doubt. Women have power. In fact, they very likely have far more power than they can imagine. It is also very likely that they have no idea of just how much power they really have. Otherwise, they would be exercising that power.

So I say to those women who took part in the Womens’ March: WAKE UP!

As I mentioned in a previous article, the upper stratum of the proletariat in America, as well as other industrialized countries of the world, have been bribed by the capitalists, the bourgeoisie. They are now receiving a rather handsome paycheque, at least compared to the vast majority of working people, and in turn are careful not to ”rock the boat”. In short, these highly skilled, well paid workers, the majority of whom are men, are no longer revolutionary. They are quite happy to not challenge the capitalists.

If the vast majority of working people, especially the women, feel betrayed, there is a reason for this. It is because they have been betrayed.

As a result of this betrayal, countless women, middle class as well as working class, have risen to the occasion. They have formed various womens’ groups, each of which has a particular set of demands. That is a big step in the right direction, but only a step. An even bigger step was the coalition of womens’ groups which marched on Washington, and across the country. At the same time, women marched in numerous countries around the world, all in support of American women.

The final, major step has yet to be taken. Women have got to face the fact that the problem is one of class, and that class is the bourgeoisie. I can only stress that it is a class struggle, the capitalists against the workers, the bourgeoisie against the proletariat. That is also the way in which it has to be presented to the members of the working class, as so many people are not aware of the technical terms.

True, this womens’ movement is very likely being led by middle class women, members of the petty bourgeois. No doubt those people are feeling slightly desperate, as they are being squeezed ever tighter by the bourgeoisie. For years, these women had visions of becoming ever more rich and successful, and even joining the ranks of the monopoly capitalists, the bourgeoisie. Who can blame them?

But now reality has set in. The ranks of the bourgeoisie are not growing, but shrinking, as they impoverish not only the proletariat and the middle class, but also each other. They do not hesitate to ”cut the throats” of each other, as they phrase it. In fact, they attack each other with a certain enthusiasm, as the profits that result from separating other billionaires from their wealth are enormous. The starry eyed optimists of the middle class, those who dream of joining the bourgeoisie, are easy money. The bourgeoisie prey upon them as wolves prey upon sick moose.

As a result of the increasing impoverishment of the petty bourgeois, many of them have been forced to join the ranks of the proletariat. Others are desperately hanging on, trying to maintain the life style to which they have become accustomed. At the same time they are sliding ever more deeply into debt. These frantic souls are very likely enthusiastic members of the womens’ movement.

Then there are the working class women. They are not starry eyed optimists, as they never had any illusions of joining the ranks of the monopoly capitalists, the bourgeoisie. That door has been closed to them from birth, and they know this. As a result of this, they are the bedrock of the womens’ movement.

Now it is time for the two classes to come together, to combine the skills and training of the middle class, or former members of the middle class, with the determination and dedication of the working class. They can learn from each other. Both classes must focus on the enemy, which is the bourgeoisie. It is not Trump, although he has been put forward as the decoy, the red herring, the lightning rod for the revolutionary movement. Anything to draw attention from the real enemy, the bourgeoisie.

Now optimistic souls are pushing forward the former first lady as the person to defeat Trump in the 20-20 election. As if that would solve the problem! Even if she is elected as president, the bourgeoisie will remain in charge, the working class will continue to be exploited, the middle class will continue to be decimated, and the profits of the capitalists will continue to soar. Nothing of substance will change.

Now it is time for millions of Americans, including those who took part in the Womens’ March, to take action. The bourgeoisie must be challenged on various fronts. They must be allowed no peace. It is necessary to join both mainstream political parties, as card carrying member.  As party bosses, you can decide the person to run for office. As well, more marches and demonstrations are required. Feel free to flex your muscles. Call attention to the existence of classes and the necessity of a revolution. You have done it before and you can do it again. Attack the bourgeoisie from all sides. Let them know that it is just a matter of time before you mount an insurrection and overthrow the capitalists. You are also going to flood Washington with socialists, and there is nothing they can do to stop this. Pay no attention to the talk of impeaching Trump and the presidential debates. Draw the attention of the press to the class struggle and the revolution. Embarrass and humiliate Trump and the members of his administration, as well as politicians of both parties. Support the Squad. Invite men, including fellow male chauvinists, to join the uprising. Use the internet, also referred to as social media, if I am not mistaken, to carry the message. Plant the seeds of revolution anywhere and everywhere.

It may help to think of further marches and demonstrations as preparation for the Big One, by which I mean the insurrection, the day working people overthrow the capitalist American government and replace it with a truly socialist society, the Dictatorship Of the Proletariat.

Do not be surprised if working people in other countries follow suit. At the same time that the American capitalists meet their Waterloo, the capitalists of other countries may also be overthrown. Just as the Womens’ March on Washington triggered similar marches around the world, so too the insurrection in America may inspire people in other countries to also overthrow their capitalist governments. If anyone can do this, it is American women. You have done it before, and you can do it again. Do not place any restrictions on yourself.

You are in the vanguard of the revolutionary working class movement of the world. The hopes and dreams of countless people are in your hands. God Bless You, One and All.
